Forest Home Cemetery

Milwaukee County Wisconsin Genealogy

Chartered in 1849 and dedicated in August 1850. It was established in 1849 by the Vestry of St. Paul's Episcopal Church on Seventy-two acres of land formerly owned by the Hull family. Much of the land was on the main part of the virgin forest of the area, hence the name Forest Home. Through the years 1850 to 1910 land purchases brought the total land to 200 acres. The cemetery is on the National Register of Historic Places. Forest Home is a public trust administered by the rector, wardens and vestry of St. Paul's. More on the founding of Forest Home
