NAEF, Christine (Nee Christensen). June 4, 1996, age 100 years. Beloved wife of the late John. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Funeral Services Fri., June 7, 11:30 AM at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Flowers. Visitation 10:30 AM to time of Services at the Chapel. MRS. BESSIE NEILSON

Mrs. Bessie B. Neilson, 82, widow of Dr. Walter H. Neilson first dean of the Marquette University Medical School, died Thursday at a rest home in Pewaukee. She suffered a stroke in February, 1961.

Mrs. Neilson, a native of Wild Rose, Wis., married Dr. Neilsono in 1907. They met several years earlier while she was attending the nursing school of the old Trinity Hospital, which Dr. Neilson and antoher physician founded at N. 9th and W. Wells Sts. Dr. Neilson also was one of the five doctors who formed the old Milwaukee Medical College which later grew into the Marquette University School of Medicine. Dr. Neilson died in 1922.

Mrs. Neilson lived in Milwaukee until 1934, when she moved to Waukesha. During World War II, she moved to Delafield where she lived until recent years. She was a member of the P.E.O. a charitable organization.

She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church when she lived in Milwaukee, the First Methodist Church in Waukesha and the Presbyterian Church in Delafield.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. William Brown, Delafield; three sons, John, Waukesha; Robert, Detroit; and ordon, Houston, and two brothers, Merriam Jeffers, Seattle, and Floyd Jeffers, Wild Rose.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Arthur Gasper Funeral Home, Waukesha, where the body will lile in state after 4 p.m. Friday.

At Mrs. Neilson's wish, she will be buried in East Granville Cemetery. Her husband was one of the last persons to be buried there.
