PLEASE NOTE: I am not affiliated with any of the cemeteries or organizations listed on this website I can try to answer general questions, but would not have more specific information other than what you see listed on each page.

Prior to 1900 the official recording of death information in Washington County was very sporatic. After 1900 records are better but still incomplete. September 30, 1907 state law mandated that all deaths in the state of Wisconsin be recorded. In searching the earlier records you may have to rely on church and cemetery records and land records (sometimes there was a transfer of property at someone's death). Cemeteries

Below is a list of cemeteries in Washington County by township. I have numbered the cemeteries so that it is easier to identify each one since some of them have the same or similar name. If you would prefer, I also have a list of cemeteries arranged alphabetically.

The name of the cemetery will be a link if there is more information about that cemetery or I have listed burials in that cemetery. When I find obituaries I link it to the individual's name in the cemetery. If I do not know the cemetery I place the name in Cemetery X.
