St. James Rose Hill is located 1/2 mile south of the Village of Sussex on the east side of Highway 74 (formerly 164), about 1/2 mile north of the intersection of Highway K (Lisbon Road). It is on the section line between NW 1/4 of Section 35 and 1/4 of Section 26 Town of Lisbon.

The first known burial of this active cemetery is circa 1837. The Rose Hill Cemetery Association was established June 20, 1899.
