William B. Cushing post and the W. R. C. held a joint installation at G. A. R. hall last night. M. L. Synder acted as installing officer for the G. A. R. After the installation an interesting meeting was held, when speeches were made by a number of members. Past Commander Butterfield entertained those present by giving a history of the Battle of Winchester.

Cook Case Continued.

The case of George Cook, who was charged with stealing a pocketbook containing $47 and a railroad ticket from Miss Louisa Fehrmann and who was arrested at Madison yesterday, was continued until Jan. 19 on request of the district attorney.
