FUNERAL OF WM. KILLIPS, A PIONEER OF WAUKESHA COUNTY.
Waukesha, Wis., Nov. 19. - The funeral of Wm. Killips, for fifty years one of the most prominent citizens of the town of New Berlin occurred yesterday. Mr. Killips was of Irish birth but had lived in this country since 1837. He leaves an estate estimated to be worth $50,000 mostly in farms in this county. Mr. Killip's death will probably end the famous Killips-Stephens suit which has been constantly in the courts for six years. It involves a large amount of money originally owed by Stephens to Killips but which Stephens claims to have paid though he had no proper receipt to show. Killips declared he had not paid the money and sued to obtain it. The case has been taken from one court to another and has cost both parties thousands of dollars.
