The 1890 Special Census Column Headings Asked the Following Questions
1. House No.
2. Family No.
3. Name of Surviving Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Widows
4. Rank
5. Company
6. Name of Regiment or Vessel
7. Date of Enlistment (day, month, year)
8. Date of Discharge (day, month, year)
9. Length of service (years, months, days)

The 1890 Population Schedules were destroyed except for a few states. 
The 1890 schedules of Union veterans of the Civil War gives name of 
veteran or widow, rank, company and regiment, dates of enlistment and

History of the GenWeb


In March and April, 1996, a group of genealogists organized the Kentucky Comprehensive Genealogy Database. The idea was to provide a single entry point for all counties in Kentucky, where collected databases would be stored. In addition, the databases would be indexed and cross-linked, so that even if an individual were found in more than one county, they could be located in the index. This lead to the US GENWEB of which Wisconsin is a part.Volunteers are needed who are willing to coordinate the collection of databases and generally oversee the contents of county web pages.
