Local News From the Saturday March 23, 1878 Adams County Press

We understand that our neighbor O. T. STRICKLAND, Esq., has sold his interest in the Friendship
mill, and also his dwelling house, and expects soon to move to Michigan. We wish the outgoers
and in-comers all the prosperity and happiness they anticipate in the exchange.

What ails the old folks in Friendship? Last Sunday morning uncle Bela TARBOX was presented
with a pair of twins-large, healthy, bouncing fellows. Many of the neighbors called to see
them, and had hardly got through with congratulating him and wondering at the strange event,
when word came from over the bridge that "old uncle PRATT" had got served in the same way.
If this thing continues it will need investigating.
(Transcribers Note: In March 30th edition, it makes it clear that the twins here are farm animals,
and not human. They traded or sold these twins to others)

Married
HARRISON-WARD.-In Springville, at the residence of the bride's father, on March 14, by J. M.
HARRISON Esq., Mr. Leon A HARRISON and Miss Rosabelle WARD.
