Local Brevities -M. D. BARBOUR, Dentist, is at the ATCHERSON House this week. -H. M. OLDER, of Kilbourn, was in town on Tuesday and Wednesday. -A road wagon, or spring wagon, or top buggy, at car load prices, at Hansen, Snider & Co's. -Miss Gertie ATCHERSON and Thornton PIERCE have each received a new wheel this week. -Mrs. J. R. VROMAN, of Jackson, visited her daughter, Mrs. F. McCONICK, the first of the week. -Mr. RORK, the accountant, is again at work upon the books in the office of the county treasurer. -The King of wagons complete, with top box, full truss axle, for $43.00. At Hanson, Snider & Co's. -Rev. J. A. THOMAS will preach at Spring Bluff next Sunday at 3 p.m., and at Pleasant prairie at 7:30. -Co. Supt. and Mrs. LEWIS have moved into rooms at B. B. CLARK's. They will be gladly welcomed by the people of Friendship. -Quite a large crowd attended the opening at the Millinery Parlors last Tuesday evening, and enjoyed a very pleasant time. -The dramatic party of Friendship is making good progress for a successful performance of "No Cure, No Pay," and "Quixotic Quakers." She was so much worse Friday that Mr. EVANS went after Miss Edith. And her school will be closed for a time. -The town board met at Mr. BONNELL's Saturday. -Mrs. Wm. WARD is at point Bluff taking care of her son, Will, who has the measles. -The river is quite high, but not so high as it was Sunday. -Miss Anna BACON visited Mrs. J. CUMMINGS Friday. White Creek -Stephen HOWARD has come home to take Alfred's place in the store for the summer. -Archie DEWEY visited friends in Oxford last Sunday. -Mrs. Allen SCHOFF has been spending several days with Mrs. AUSTIN and Mrs. REID. Mrs. AUSTIN has been very sick, but is able to sit up. Alvah AUSTIN is improving rapidly now, and will soon be able to be out again. -Mrs. Butler STOWELL has gone to live with her daughter, Mrs. SEXSMITH. -Mr. and Mrs. FERRIS visited at H MASON's last Sunday. -Alice BERGMAN has commenced her school at Jordan Lake. -F. FERRIS visited at Plainville one day last week. -Tommie WILSON and his sister, Alice, spent a day visiting and exploring the Gulch the first of the week. -Easter services in the church last Sunday. -Several went from here to attend the dance at Plainville in the new hall, just erected by A. DEWEY and P. REARDON. All report a pleasant time. -Eddie AUSTIN visited his aunt in Kilbourn last Wednesday. -Dr. LISTER made a business trip to Milwaukee last week. Mr. WING moved to Oxford last week. -Frank ELLIS is quite sick in Milwaukee. -The Woodman Lodge is growing in membership. -Mr. WITT is talking of selling his mill property here. -R. MONTIETH was calling on friends last Saturday. A.M.
