Source: Adams County Press, August 19, 1911 Page 1 The Congregational Church picnic was as great a success as last year. A number of trees were cleared away, while a well gave plenty of cool water to everyone. The day, while sultry, was confortable, and all present seemed to enjoy themselves. The program at lunch time was very interesting with songa and recitations by the children, quartettes by the church choir, short talks by speakers from madison and Endeavor, and the large crowd joining in on the chorus. The melodies were sweet and everyone was in good humor. The races and tug of war passed with much innocent fun. The following persons won the first prizes:Other Prize Winners were: Jonesville, first prize in Tug of War Miss KEHL, of Adams Center, Tallest Lady at 5 ft 11.25 inches Mrs. REICHOFF, of Easton, was the lady with the largest family on the field
