Hazel J. Phelps Surnames: Allaback, Hicks, Phelps, Schramm, Soule Abstracted from the Adams County Times and Friendship Reporter, Wednesday April 22, 1992 Page3B (not the complete obit due to copyright restrictions) Hazel Johanna (Hicks) Phelps, 84, of Ladysmith, died April 13, 1992. She had been a resident of the Jump River area for over 60 years. Hazel was born May 21, 1907 to Fred and Clara Hicks in Adams County, and married Simeon S Phelps June 6, 1923, also in Adams County. Simeon preceded his wife in death, in 1970. Survivors include one son; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister and four brothers. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, George Hicks; grandson, Kenny Phelps; granddaughters Becky Allaback and Janet (Allaback) Soule; and great-grandson, Josh Schramm. Funeral services were held Friday April 17th at the McElrarry Geier Funeral Home chapel and graveside services were held at Pine Grove cemetery in the Adams county town of Lincoln Saturday April 18.
