
Howard RIERSON, 1910 - 2001 Surnames: NORDLIE, RIERSON The Daily Tribune [Wisconsin Rapids Wood Co WI], May 16 2001, P5A Howard Gilmer Rierson, 90, of Adams, died Sunday, May 13, 2001, at University Hospital-Madison, after a sudden illness. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Arkdale. Interment will be in East Arkdale Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by Adams Veterans of Foreign Wars Lodge 6279, Red Cloud American Legion Post 250 and Snyder Richardson American Legion Post 273. Mr. Rierson was born Aug. 23, 1910, in the Adams County town of Strongs Prairie, to Reier and Caroline (Nordlie) Rierson. He served in the U.S. Army for three years during World War II. He moved to Woodstock, Ill., in 1950, and worked as a welder for Browns Manufacturing, retiring in 1972. He returned to Adams County in 1995. Survivors include one brother, Harold (Agatha), of Arkdale; and 19 nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the church from 10-11 a.m. Saturday. Roseberry's Funeral Home and Crematory, Friendship, is in charge of arrangements.
