From the Adams County Press, March 28, 1891, Page 5, Column 5 DIED: Jeddie B. COTTON, 1867 - 1891 DIED--COTTON--At Kalama, Washington, March 17th, of typho-malarial fever suddenly complicated by congestive chills, Jeddie D. COTTON, in the 24th year of his age. Jeddie D. COTTON was born at Roche-a Cri; in this county, on the 11th of June, 1867. He was the third son of the late Emulous P. COTTON, who was a delegate from Waukesha county to the second constitutional convention of this State, and who died at Roche-a-Cri a few years ago. Jeddie went to Washington in July, 1889, and there found employment as a fireman on the Northern Pacific Railroad, and remained in its service until his last sickness. His remains were brought to Roche-a-Cri for burial beside those of his parents. The funeral was held at Roche-a-Cri on Tuesday, Rev. P. R. Staples officiating, and was attended by quite a number, besides immediate friends from this place and other parts of the county. Two brothers, Lee COTTON, of New Chester, and Rolla COTTON, of this place, and two sisters, Mrs. Hattie BANKER and Miss Etta COTTON, of Friendship, survive the deceased.
