Until she is able to get back to the files, I decided to put up a few tidbits from some of my newpaper resources. I added a couple news tidbits from 1877 on the conviction of John
Anderson who murdered Isaac Rosegard; an 1890 article about M.C. Smith; and 1891 articles on John Fiegel & Son Burglary and new creamery equipment in Strong's Prairie.

Heimgehen My mother passed away early today at our home, where she had lived the past 13.5 years,
since her initial diagnosis with lymphoma (cancer). Hospice and our friends Kevin and Shelly
helped us to care for her so that her wish could be fulfilled: to pass away in her sleep at
home in her own room. We will miss you, mom, until we meet again!

than 300 pages of obits already typed, so this project will probably keep me busy awhile.

Today is the 4th anniversary of my role as volunteer webmaster for the Adams Co WiGenWeb
site. We now have over 500 pages available on our site, census transcriptions, county
history biographies and newspaper articles, photos and inscriptions from 28 different
cemeteries, and lots more to come. A big thank you to our volunteers, whose efforts always
encourage me to keep working on building the virtual library for all of you.
Today I added some cemetery pictures taken in late November at Quincy cemetery, and more
couples from the newspapers were added to the pre-1907 marriage index files.

A Big Thank You to our Contributors...
CONTRIBUTOR Kim Ledbetter donated a transcription of the 1850 census of Adams
County. This was a very difficult transcription with alot of illegible names.
CONTRIBUTOR Joan Byers donated an index for the Lakeview Cemetery in Jackson
Twp. This cemetery has been known through the years as Crooked Lake, Vroman,
and Jackson Cemetery. Joan's file is unique in that relationships among those
interred are noted.
The Index to the 1850 Adams Co census is also now available, extracted from
the AIS (LDS) index to the 1850 census of Wisconsin.

Added another five dozen marriages to the pre-1907 marriages file. I'm now
finished through the D's of the 'singles' file. These are the entries found
on the pre-1907 statewide fiche index for which I could not identify a
spouse, and have to be found and verified one at a time on the microfilm of
original Adams Co. marriage certificates.
The 1870 Federal Census of Dell Prairie is now online, it's a large file of
124 families and may take awhile to load.
WE DID IT!! We now have over 200 pages of material on the Adams County
rootsweb site. Thank you, encouragers and contributors, this is a team
accomplishment!

Happy New Year!! Working on sorting pre-1907 marriages by couples,
and finished an 1885 Congregational church convention page. Started
a page of 1885 Adams Co teachers that lists where they taught and lived.

the Roster of Wisconsin Volunteers: War of the Rebellion, published 1886
Still working on Pre-1907 Adams County Marriages, alpha order and trying to
match names so couples are together in the file.
Today the change to a new county cc was made official with an announcement
and change on the county cc's page.
