The fall term of school will close on Friday, December 19, 1890. The winter term will begin on Monday, January 5, 1891. The following are the names of the non-resident pupils attending the High School: Cadigan David Hull Henry McDowell George Round Hattie Schmitz Robert The High School has been provided with Chamber's Encyclopedia consisting of ten volumes. A set of outline maps would now complete the list of necessary apparatus for a good school. The High School pupils were dismissed Monday afternoon on account of the breaking of the stove. Minnie Hallmann "spelt down" the High School at the spelling match on the day before Thanksgiving. Two of the High School pupils, Charles Lange and Robert Schmitz have not been absent a single day this term; a few others of the clas shave missed but a few days. These pupils are making a decided progress. Their lessons are never too long or too hard, but are always learned. They far surpass most of their senior members in the studies they have completed or are pursuing at present. This is all chiefly due to their regular attendance. Irregularity in attendance is the principle cause of many pupils' progress.
