Discrepancy reported by Henry Foreman Descendant

Diana Stroud notified the Adams county coordinator in Oct 2001 that there is incorrect information about Henry Foreman in the biographical sketches compiled from the 1901 History of Columbia, Sauk and Adams counties. She believes the misinformation came from Henry's burial records at Davis Corners. They appear to say his mother was either Margaret Malen or Margaret Helen. Diana doesn't know as yet if Henry's father remarried after Harriet died in 1849 in England of cholera. His father John Benjamin died of wounds received during the Civil War in 1864.

Henry was the brother of her Great Grandmother Sarah Foat Foreman. Their mother was Harriet Hughes, who married their Father John Benjamin Foreman in Margate, England. Diana has the birth records for all of the children born to John and Harriet, including Henry's.

Diana's source for the information is a copy of a certified copy of Henry's birth records obtained from the registration office in London. The certificate states that Henry Glives Foreman was born on March 27, 1844 in Margate, Kent, district of Thanet. His parents are stated to be John Benjamin Foreman and Harriet Hughes. Diana started to research his and his sister Sarah's (plus other siblings) after obtaining a copy of Sarah Foreman's marriage to her grandfather Jacob Benjamin Foat. On her marriage certificate she stated that her mother's name was Harriet. A relative living in London obtained these records for her at the Kew Records Center for England.
